Violet began her education in computer sciences on a full scholarship. After working for various industries such as automotive, research & development, and commercial leasing, she decided to go back to school to pursue her dream career as an architect. She studied at San Diego Mesa College and then transferred to Woodbury University on a scholarship where she received her Bachelor of Architecture degree. She is currently working pro bono on a redesign of Wesley House in addition to serving on the board of directors. She is passionate about improving students’ college experience and helping them achieve their life goals. She believes that college education should be a right not a privilege. She is happily married (14 years and enjoys traveling, collecting antique books, records, prints, and architectural drawings with her husband, Tarik.
